Bruce Power will again be hosting Virtual Town Hall events on Tuesday and Thursday this week, April 7 and 9, to provide the latest information on the COVID-19 pandemic and to give area residents an opportunity to speak directly with public health officials in Grey, Bruce and Huron counties.

In an April 6 media advisory, Tuesday’s Town Hall will be the second of its kind with the Grey Bruce Health Unit. It is set to get underway at 6 p.m. and once again some residents from Grey and Bruce counties will receive a phone call inviting them to join just prior to the start of the Town Hall.

James Scongack, Executive Vice-President, Corporate Affairs & Operational Services, Bruce Power will serve as moderator and will be joined by Dr Ian Arra, Medical Officer of Health and CEO, Grey Bruce Health Unit; Mike Rencheck, President and CEO, Bruce Power; Alex Ruff, MP, Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound; Bill Walker, MPP, Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound; Lisa Thompson, MPP, Huron-Bruce; Mitch Twolan, Warden, Bruce County; Paul McQueen, Warden, Grey County.

The Town Hall will be broadcast live by CFOS, CKNX, The Dock and myFM. Shortly after the conclusion a recording will be made available on the Bruce Power website.

Thursday's Virtual Town Hall will also be moderated by Scongack and will get underway at 6 p.m. Huron County residents will hear from Dr Miriam Klassen, Medical Officer of Health, Huron Perth Public Health; Dr Shannon Natiuk, Emergency Room Doctor, Alexandra Marine and General Hospital, Goderich; Lynn Higgs, Manager of Mental Health and Addictions and Community Psychiatric Services, Alexandra Marine and General Hospital; Sherri Cantelon, Social Worker, Huronview and Huronlea Homes for the Aged; Mike Rencheck, President and CEO, Bruce Power; Ben Lobb, MP, Huron-Bruce; Jim Ginn, Warden, Huron County; Lisa Thompson, MPP, Huron-Bruce.
