The Southampton Residents’ Association (SRA) has released a special newsletter to urge members who are not full-time residents of Saugeen Shores to stay home.
In an SRA news release, in response to the March 24 announcement that the Town of Saugeen Shores has declared a State of Emergency and Mayor Charbonneau’s appeal for seasonal residents to stay home, SRA has issued a special notice to its members.
“We support the Mayor and Council in making this emergency declaration,” said Bill Bowden, SRA President. “We are confident that our members are paying attention to guidance from authorities; they are practicing social distancing and, when recommended, isolation," Bowden continued.
"We know that our members who are seasonal residents, really, really look forward to coming back when it is prudent to do so," Bowden said.
Roughly half of SRA’s approximately 400 household members are seasonal residents of Saugeen Shores.
