Due to recent developments and uncertainty around potential spread of COVID-19, Bruce Power has announced the temporary closure of their Visitors' Centre, effective immediately, including the cancellation of next week's March Break Program.
"We are taking every precaution to try and make sure people who work at – and visit – Bruce Power don’t contract COVID-19. We also recognize our role within the broader community and are taking reasonable efforts to protect others," read a March 12 Bruce Power media release, adding that a number of preventative actions have been taken proactively in every area of their operation.
"We were expecting up to 1,500 visitors during the March Break program from a wide geographic area, including outside of the region, and believe out of an abundance of caution the right thing to do is to cancel these activities," read the release.
"Safety is our number one value and we are committed to taking every possible action to make sure everyone who is on our premises gets home safely to their families."
