FEBRUARY 29 UPDATE: As of this morning, Saturday, February 29, The Plex, the Southampton Coliseum and the Centennial Pool are open as scheduled. All will operate their regular schedules of programs and rentals. In a Town of Saugeen Shores media release, the Southampton Landfill will also be open today for its regular winter hours from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Snow plows continue to work around town, so users are asked to take care on the roads and sidewalks.

Due to the weather conditions, the Town of Saugeen Shores Municipal Office is closed today, Friday, February 28, 2020.

In a February 28 media release, municipal snow plows have been working most of the night into this morning. Users are asked to avoid unnecessary travel and use caution if doing so.

The Centennial Pool, the Community Complex (The Plex) and the Southampton Coliseum are also closed. Staff will re-evaluate at 2 p.m.

The Southampton Landfill will be closed all day today.

The announcement comes on the heels of multiple road and school closures and cancellation announcements across the region.
