The Port Elgin Legion Branch 340 has stepped up to support the School Community Council's (SCC) efforts at Saugeen District Senior School (SDSS) to construct a playscape for the Grade 7 and 8 classes who joined the school in September 2019.

On Friday, January 17, Legion President Robert Harrison and 2nd Vice-President Rhonda Harrison presented a cheque for $1,000 to help build their vision for a more active schoolyard.

The Saugeen District Senior School is home to 827 students with approximately a quarter of their enrolment being represented by the newly relocated Grades 7 and 8 students.
