A Port Elgin grandmother is $1 million richer, thanks to a September 21 2019 Lotto 6/49 draw.

In an OLG media release, Patricia Hyde, a retired 63-year old, checked the winning ticket, yelled "Woo hoo" and danced.

"I am ecstatic about this win," Hyde said. "I can finally sleep."

The mother of two and grandmother of three plans on using the money to help her family and do some travelling.

The winning ticket was purchased at The Bare Necessities on Patrick Street in Fordwich.
