The Grade 6, 7 and 8 students made their way through a tunnel of younger students eager to throw pots of colour over them.

It was a colourful send off for Northport Elementary School's Grade 6, 7 and 8 students as they bid farewell to the students and teachers they're leaving behind June 26.
Vice Principal Wendy Cumming said the Colour Run was organized to not only celebrate the Grade 6 and 7 students as they prepare to transition to the newly named Saugeen District Senior School (SDSS) for the 2019-20 school year but also the Grade 8 students as they make their way to high school.
This year's Grade 6 and 7 students from École Port Elgin Saugeen Central School will be also attending SDSS for Grades 7 and 8 beginning in September.
Lined up in two rows facing each other to form a pathway, Kindergarten to Grade 5 Northport students were armed with yellow, blue and pink to throw over the older students as they made their way through. Teachers also joined in the fun, some making the run themselves while others helped to spread a little colour over the departing students.

One by one the Grade 6, 7 and 8 students became more colourful as they made their way past the younger students.
Some students saved their pots of colour for the Northport staff. Grade 8 teacher Jaffe Keeling was looking very colourful.
A haze of pink, blue and yellow surrounded the older students with colour being thrown from all angles.
