In the afternoon on June 7 Saugeen Shores Police officers were called to investigate a disturbance at a Port Elgin address.
In a June 10 media release, officers attended and located a male in distress suffering from minor injuries. The victim reported to police that he had been assaulted with a weapon and robbed of cash.
An investigation identified a male who was later arrested and charged with several offences. Another male is still outstanding on the charges and a warrant has been obtained for his arrest.
A 30 year old Grey County man has been charged with robbery with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, assault with a weapon and fail to comply with a probation order.
The Grey County man was held for a bail hearing. The investigation is ongoing.
