Port Elgin Home Hardware wants to help send kids to camp

Port Elgin Home Hardware Building Centre has donated $500 to the Bluewater Education Foundation to assist with bussing costs from Port Elgin to the Bluewater Outdoor Education Centre (BOEC) for an Eco-Adventurer Day Camp July 15 to 19.

The camp, approximately nine kilometres west of Wiarton, is for children ages 8 to 12 with daily programming including outdoor skills, exploring in nature, team games and leadership, crafts, drama and more. Programming is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with early drop off and late pick up available at a nominal additional cost.

Space is limited and the cost is $175 per child plus $50 for the week for daily transportation from Lakeshore Recreation in Port Elgin to the BOEC. Phone 519-534-2767 or visit the BOEC on Facebook at facebook.com/BluewaterOutdoorEducationCentre.
