Editor's Note: The Town of Saugeen Shores reported on February 14 that the Significant Weather Event issued February 12 has ended.
The Town of Saugeen Shores has again declared a Significant Weather Event in accordance with Ontario Regulation 366/18. All roads and sidewalks maintained by the Town are considered in a “state of repair” until further notice. This declaration is not a notice of a reduced level of service or a road closure. It is to notify drivers and pedestrians to use an appropriate level of caution when travelling during this event.
Town staff continue to work diligently to ensure public safety but it may take longer than normal to clear the snow. Your cooperation is appreciated.
The Town will update the public when the significant weather event has ended, through the Town’s website, social media and through a news release to local media.
This is the second such event declared by the Town this winter. The first was issued on January 30 and lifted February 1.
