MARCH 20 UPDATE: Following the cancellation of the February 13 talk due to inclement weather, the event has been re-scheduled for Thursday, March 21. The information has been updated below.

The Lake Huron Centre for Coastal Conservation (LHCCC) is hosting their second annual Coastal Speaker Series Thursday, March 21 in Southampton.

In a February 6 media release, LHCCC is a non-government charitable organization established in 1998 with the goals of protecting and restoring Lake Huron’s coastal environment and supporting a healthy coastal ecosystem.

The March 21 event is part of a series designed to provide a fun and family friendly opportunity network, share and learn about the Lake Huron coastline and will cover diverse topics specific to Bruce County's unique coastal habitats as well as offer an opportunity to learn from expert speakers and hear an update on the Coastal Action Plan for Lake Huron.

The Speaker Series is free to attend and will take place at the Southampton Town Hall, 201 High Street, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
