Three Christmas feasts that all told included 200 pounds of turkey, 80 pounds of ham and 10 gallons of gravy fed approximately 350 people at the annual Club at Westlinks' Christmas Buffett held on December 19 at the Port Elgin golf club.

The meal prepared by Chef Richard Lourie and staff was provided for free at the request that a monetary donation be made toward the Saugeen Shores Salvation Army. Through many donations $5851.85 was raised and donated December 20 to the local non-profit located on Bricker Street in Port Elgin.

Westlinks General Manager Tedd Hopkins noted and thanked the Rice and Lourie families as well as Flanagan’s Food Service for their additional donations.

“We want to support the community we do our business in and we want to do the right thing at this time of year,“ said Hopkins who added that the turkey was especially tasty during the first of three buffets December 19.
