From cash to gifts to Canadian Tire money and good deeds, the Me2We group at École Port Elgin Saugeen Central School (ÉPESCS) would like to extend a huge thank you to all of the Wildcats and their families for helping to make their Wildcat Week of Giving an amazing success.
The week ran December 3 to 7 with each day offering new ways to give; and just like the partridge in a pear tree, opportunities carried over and accumulated during the course of the week.
On day one the group was asking for Canadian Tire money and almost $265 was collected, an amount that was generously added to by the Mowbray family, owners of Canadian Tire Port Elgin, for a total of $500.
On Day two Me2We students asked for donations of a new toy or book and as a result gathered three large tables full of items for all ages.
Their Toonies and Loonies Day on day three raised over $500 and their Gift Card to Share on day four added another $260.
The fifth day of the Wildcat Week of Giving was a Do a Kind Deed Day, giving many Wildcats a chance to show off their awesome attitudes by doing nice things for others.
The Me2We group is so thrilled to be able to fulfill the wish lists of the Women’s House serving Bruce and Grey and the Ronald McDonald House in London as well as providing support for a number of their own Wildcat families, all targets for this year's Wildcat Week of Giving.
In an email to Saugeen Shores Hub, ÉPESCS said, "We are very proud to be able to send such fantastic Wildcat support to all of these worthy causes. Many thanks again to all of our Wildcat families for your spirit, your support, and your continued generosity. Happy Holidays to each and every one of you."
