The Town of Saugeen Shores has launched a survey to gather public input regarding storefront sales and use of cannabis in the municipality.
“Council has to make a decision on how the legalization of cannabis fits into our community. This is an important conversation to have with both our residents and businesses,” said Mayor Luke Charbonneau.
In a Town of Saugeen Shores media release, the survey and more information can be found online at saugeenshores.ca/cannabis. Paper copies are also available from the Municipal Office at 600 Tomlinson Drive in Port Elgin.
“Council and I are committed to hearing from the community and making an informed decision on behalf of the residents of Saugeen Shores,” said Charbonneau.
The online public input survey closes December 31. Council is required to make a decision on whether to opt out of storefront sales by January 22, 2019.
