National award for Town's Shore Report podcast

The Shore Report Podcast, produced by the Town of Saugeen Shores, was announced as a top Economic Development Association of Canada (EDAC) award winner on Tuesday, September 11 in Fredericton, New Brunswick.

In a Town of Saugeen Shores media release, the podcast won in the category of Social Media, as an innovative economic development tool.

"We're really proud to receive national recognition for the work we are doing in economic development," said Saugeen Shores Mayor Mike Smith. "The Shore Report podcast is an accessible communication tool to share our story far and wide."

The Shore Report launched in 2017 and currently boasts 57 episodes. To date the podcast has received over 5,500 listens in 42 countries. Co-hosting the podcast, Saugeen Shores staff Jessica Linthorne, Manager, Strategic Initiatives and Jay Pausner, Supervisor, Development Services, welcome guests to the show. Conversation on the podcast includes economic growth, local business, community events and organizations as well as Town projects and initiatives.
