As the Liv-A-Little Foundation wraps up their annual Paint the Town Purple fundraising campaign, Southampton Olive Oil Company is offering a little extra boost by donating $1 from every bottle of olive oil sold Labour Day weekend, September 1 to 3, to the Liv-A-Little Foundation for cystinosis research.

The Foundation was created in support of 8 year old Saugeen Shores resident Olivia Little who was diagnosed with the rare metabolic disease that targets the body's organs and afflicts just 75 children and young adults in Canada.

On August 31, co-owner of the Southampton shop Donna Rudell said that in the past they have donated gift bags and decorated their store with a flare of purple but this year decided they wanted to do something extra to support Olivia and her family.
