flag quest

Ahoy Mates! The Southampton BIA’s Flag Quest, in association with the Marine Heritage Festival, is back for a fourth year and runs from Friday, July 20 to Sunday, July 29 at 4 p.m. Winners will be announced on Monday, July 30.

In a Southampton BIA media release, “Flag Quest is a great way to showcase the amazing experiences Southampton has to offer,” said Melanie Myers, Chair of the Southampton BIA Board of Directors. “Past players have said that they discovered a new business they weren’t familiar with while playing Flag Quest; and that’s what we want, to encourage the discovery of Southampton businesses; plus it’s great fun to play as a family,” she added.

Flag Quest is a family friendly scavenger hunt throughout Southampton where players visit local participating businesses and decode Nautical flags to spell words needed to complete the Game Card. Each completed Game Card can be entered for a chance to win one of three prize packs. The odds of winning are based on the number of entries for each Quest.

To enter simply drop the Game Card in either the lighthouse ballot box located outside the Southampton Town Hall, 201 High Street, or the ballot box at the Chantry Island Tour Base, 86 Saugeen Street.

The prize packs total over $1,000 in gift certificates and merchandise donated by Flag Quest sponsors. Participants can pick up their Game Card at any participating business or at the Tourism Office in the Southampton Town Hall. Choose your Quest, and set off for a chance to win one of three treasure filled prize packs.

Game Cards can be picked up at the following participating businesses:
