The Wildcat Week of Giving is an initiative of the Me2We group at École Port Elgin Saugeen Central School (ÉPESCS) which allows students to support some great organizations close to home.

This year, the Women’s House Serving Bruce and Grey and the Ronald McDonald House in London were two primary recipients. As well, the Week of Giving supplied some much need items for some Wildcat families.

The school focussed on one specific need per day, however all items could be donated throughout the week. The Me2We group challenged all students to donate one of the items listed during the week with the list including doing a good deed. Other items on the list were Canadian Tire money, new toys and books, toonies and loonies, unused gift cards.

After the final tallies, EPESCS is thrilled to share that the “Wildcat Week of Giving” was an amazing success.

Just under $450 in Canadian Tire money was collected and generously added to by Canadian Tire owners, the Mowbray Family, for a total of $750. For the new toy and book collection, three large tables full of fantastic items for all ages were collected. The toonies and loonies day raised over $500 and the gift card day another $250. Lastly, the “do a kind deed” day gave many Wildcats a chance to show off their awesome attitudes by doing nice things for others.

“As a group, WE are certainly very proud to be able to send such fantastic Wildcat support to so many worthy causes. Many thanks again to all of our Wildcat families for your spirit, your support, and your continued generosity."
