Saugeen Shores is just a week away from the 2017 Christmas Tour of Homes presented by the Chantry Island Cham-bettes and decorators are at the ready, as tickets are on sale to tour the six homes come November 17 and 18.

Tickets for the ninth annual Tour of Homes are $20 each and can be purchased at various locations in Saugeen Shores including, in Port Elgin, Accents, Port’s Emporium, Bruce County Custom Cabinets, Cathy’s Flower’s N’ Treasures; in Southampton at Bayberry’s on High Street.

The 2016 event saw over 1,000 people take the tour gaining decorating tips, and seasonal ideas along the way. Longtime decorator Kaitlyn Shular of K Interiors will be decorating stop number 4 on the tour, the Haessler home in Southampton. The Haessler home will include accents from Bare Birch in Owen Sound and Bayberry’s in Southampton. Shular said the upstairs of the Southampton home will be monochromatic and feature art and designs from Shoreline Artists while the downstairs will be staged in traditional Christmas flare.

Money raised from the event will go towards various community projects including the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation and the Caitlyn Cobean Community Crusaders who will be raffling off two different prize packs on the tour.
