More than 600 students and teachers took part in honouring a one-of-a-kind Canadian September 28.
École Port Elgin Saugeen Central School (ÉPESCS) participated in the annual Terry Fox Run September 28 with the entire student body and teachers running or walking around the schoolyard in honour of the Canadian hero. Students brought in their “toonies for Terry” and have currently raised $1,500 with more money to come for the Terry Fox Foundation.
The home of the Wildcats is no stranger to raising funds for Terry Fox with educators taking a pie to the face for reaching a fundraising total in 2016.

Earlier this month Wildcat Principal Karen Spragg said that if the students raised at least $1,800 she would kiss a goat.

Carol Ann Slade spoke to the student body reminding students that Terry Fox is her favourite Canadian hero, and reminded the students of what they were walking for.
The leaders who walked for someone they loved who has been affected with cancer started a slow progression during the Terry Fox Run at École Port Elgin Saugeen Central School, September 28.
