The Chantry Island Cham-bettes are planning an upscale garage sale in support of community groups and local projects and are looking for donations of gently used clothing and accessories - for all ages - in good condition.

Their upcoming Sally Armanni ‘Nearly New’ Sale will feature clothing for women, men and children of all ages as well as accessories such as scarves, hats, belts, jewellery, purses and coats and vintage items as well as designer labels are being accepted.

“This is the first time we’re launching this [event],” said Cham-bette Carol Ann D’Andrea July 4. “Our garage sales are so successful that we thought we would do an upscale garage sale, so a little bit on the fancy side.”

D’Andrea said the Cham-bettes have each been challenged to bring at least five items “from their jewellery box, closet, scarves, shoes, whatever,” she said. “The donations are fantastic, we’ve got bags and bags of clothing already from the girls.”

The upscale garage sale will take place on Saturday, July 15 from 9 am to 1 pm at the Port Elgin Legion.

Tables are available to rent for $20. Call 519-797-3951. If you have items to donate text Jane at 226-668-2879 for a donation drop off locations.
