The Canadian Spirit is alive and well with Chantry Island Cham-bette Gay Ashdown, her daughter Roberta and her 10 month old Grandson Josh Cunliffe, as Ashdown gave details of the upcoming Heritage Games at her home June 22.

Put your family to the test on the beach for Heritage Games July 2, during Canada 150 celebrations in Southampton. The games, hosted by the Chantry Island Cham-bettes, will take place from noon until 4 p.m. and will consist of classic games such as: egg on a spoon races, wheelbarrow races, 3-legged race, and potato sack races.
The Games are free to attend and are for children 12 and under. The children will be split into age categories, 4 to 6, 7 to 9 and 9 to 12, said Cham-bette Gay Ashdown June 22. Participants 3 years of age are welcome to participate with a parent partner.
The event will also be cause for fashion as judges are on task to choose the best dressed Canada themed outfit on a baby or toddler.
The Chantry Island Cham-bettes report having more creative things up their sleeves for children for the Sunday afternoon; with parents having an opportunity to reminisce and show off their childhood skills.
Ten-month-old Josh Cunliffe struts his stuff in his Canadiana-wear, readying himself to become the best dressed at the Heritage Games July 2 in Southampton.
Josh, who is teething, found new uses for his fashion choices.
