VisitorsCentreInt 560Following another year of overwhelming success, Bruce Power will further expand its summer Visitors’ Centre hours and free bus tour program to meet public demand.

From a May 1 media release, Bruce Power announced that through July and August, the Visitors’ Centre will be open seven days a week, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and offer two site tours every day, at 1 and 2 p.m., said Chris Mercanti, Section Manager, Community and Indigenous Relations.

“Our bus tour program, which started in 2014, has seen a steady increase in visitors year-over-year,” Mercanti said. “In 2016, over 3,300 people took a one-hour, narrated bus tour, so moving to seven days a week to provide greater service was the logical next step. We’re flattered, but not surprised by the high level of interest locals and visitors from across Ontario, Canada and the globe have in the world’s largest operating nuclear facility.”
