Spring Cleaning Week wrapped up in Saugeen Shores on April 29. The week began April 22 with community organizations, schools, businesses and indivuals encouraged to organize a group and register for an outdoor clean up.
The Town provided gloves as well as recycling and garbage bags.
All told, 144 citizens took part and the Town collected 67 garbage bags, 22 recycling bags, two small trailers full and 28 brush bags.
In a May 1 email, “the Town of Saugeen Shores salutes the Spring Clean Week volunteers.”
Dave and Brenda Cziraki with their dog Ziggy, a Hungarian Puli, helped clean up the Southampton beach April 29. Brenda found a shoe that grabbed Ziggy’s attention.
