A new business in Grey Bruce, Essence Coaching by Lara Javalyn, will be launching with a free event, "Living a Life of Significance", on April 20, from 7 to 8 p.m., at the Port Elgin Library.

The presentation, with discussion to follow, will provide inspiration and tools to attendees looking to give their busy lives greater meaning and purpose, and is specifically designed in reference to the narrative of the Hero's Journey.

“Many people long to do more and be more, but often feel lost or that something is missing from their lives. This presentation will provide tools and perspectives to help them clarify their sense of purpose and start taking charge of the direction of their lives,” said Javalyn.

Javalyn has trained as a coach since 2005 and has coached and consulted with individuals and groups for the past two years in Canada, the US and abroad.

She said working with a coach is a time-tested way for athletes and professionals to break through limiting beliefs, develop training plans and take focused action.

Help from a coach can offer challenging questions, deep listening, reflection, reports and accountability.
