Update: In a February 24 email, Inspector Ken McCulloch, Saugeen Shores Police reported that the pedestrian involved in the motor vehicle collision February 23 on Gustavus Street in Port Elgin suffered a dislocated shoulder and was released from hospital later that night. The collision is still under investigation.
At approximately 5 p.m. on Thursday, February 23, Saugeen Shores Police Service responded to a motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian on Gustavus Street in Port Elgin in front of Tim Hortons.
In a Saugeen Shores Police report, the pedestrian sustained serious injuries and was transported by ambulance to hospital in Southampton.
OPP are assisting with the investigation.
No further details on the injuries are available at this time.
