On February 14, 2017, at approximately 4:45 p.m., South Bruce OPP, together with Bruce County Emergency Services and the Mildmay Fire Department, responded to a head-on collision involving a 2006 Dodge Ram pick-up truck and a 2010 Mazda Tribute on Bruce Road 3, north of Mildmay, in the Municipality of South Bruce.

Investigation revealed the Mazda was travelling north bound on Bruce Road 3 when it crossed into the oncoming lane and collided head-on with the south bound pick-up truck.

Both drivers were extricated from their vehicles and transported to hospital.

The driver of the pick-up truck, a 27-year old man from Saugeen Shores, sustained minor injuries.

The driver of the Mazda had sustained major injuries.

A 65-year old woman from South Bruce was charged with Careless Driving under the Highway Traffic Act.
