Teens and parents are torn with all of the important choices they have to make. University, college or neither? Travelling or working? Gaining life experience or skills for work?
Ryan Porter has created a keynote presentation to help teens block out the distractions that can make these decisions confusing, keeping them from creating a life with which they are they are happy.
On Friday, November 18 at 7 p.m. Porter will give his Make Your Own Lunch presentation and talk about key “ingredients” needed to make a great life, full of fulfillment, excitement, passion and contribution.
Tickets are $5, available in advance at Port Elgin United Church, Rabbit Dash, by e-mailing GotTeens@icloud.com and available at the door. This presentation is for teens and parents are encouraged to attend.
Following Porter’s keynote presentation, attendees will have an opportunity to go deeper into putting the ideas into action. On Saturday, November 19 a one-hour workshop is on offer through which Porter will teach the “4 Key Decisions” young people can make in order to live epically.
Tickets for this workshop are also $5, are available at the presentation or at the door. This workshop is exclusively for teens.
A small number of tickets have been donated for teens who want to attend but cannot afford the cost. Please contact GotTeens@icloud.com for availability.
Porter spoke at a YouthRoots Summit in Hanover, where Port Elgin United Church teens in attendance were encouraged to do something for teens in their own community. They chose to bring Porter to Port Elgin.
