The horses at PRANCE (Pegasus Riding Association Nurturing Challenged Equestrians) will be kept cozy during the cooler months thanks to a donation of $1,200 from the Power Workers’ Union (PWU), for new blankets and sheets, for the therapeutic riding horses October 25.
The PWU Bruce Site Equity Committee has been in place since 2006 with the purpose of dispersing funds to help community organizations and local causes. The disbursements are made on the behalf of all 2,600 PWU members who work at Bruce Power.
The Power Workers’ Union donation will go towards purchasing more blankets and sheets for the horses at PRANCE. Volunteer Ashlynn Thede showed off the frock that was worn by horse Woody.
