Walkers thumbs upLorraine Salisbury (left), Linda Stuckey and Colleen Campbell of Scotiabank, walked the 5k at the Huron Shore Run, June 4. Scotiabank raised the second highest amount for business donations with $2,920.

tony marriotEighty-one year old Tony Marriot of Southampton finished his 5k race with a time of 00:34:24.

weist wasagaOn the left, William Weist, age 12, from Ajax came first in the 3k race and was the first runner to cross the finish line during the Huron Shore Run, June 4, with a time of 00:11:59.3. Weist, who cottages in Southampton, won this race in 2015. On the right, for the second year in a row, Wasaga Beach’s Mitchell Belford, age 24, won the half-marathon race. Belford’s winning time was 01:16:54.

youth runChildren 8 years and younger participated in the PLAY Fun Run, at the Rotary Huron Shore Run, June 4.

3KSouthampton’s Zoe Shave (left blue t-shirt), sisters Kiera (199) and Sydney (200) Snelling of South Bruce Peninsula, along with race winner William Weist (676) and Riley Jacobs-Gamble (208) of Owen Sound, who placed second, all hit their strides from the get go of the 3k race.
