Inside FullSouthampton Craft Show, 2015

Hub Staff

The Southampton Craft Show, which will see its 47th year this year, is looking for volunteers. The event will take place at the Southampton Coliseum July 7 and proceeds will go in support of PRANCE (Pegasus Riding Association Nurturing Challenged Equestrians), a charitable organization that offers therapeutic equestrian programs for people with intellectual, physical and emotional disabilities.

The Show got its start as a Women’s Institute event, with this year being PRANCE’s 12th year at the helm. The event raises approximately $14,000 each year for the organization.

The committee is looking for high school students wanting to fulfill their required community hours or anyone in the community who likes to volunteer.

“We would require a couple of hours from each person,” said Louise Martin, PRANCE Board of Directors President in an email to The Hub. Martin added that they are looking for people to man the gates or to help serve food over the lunch hour.
