Saugeen Shores Police continue to search for “Jim“ Armstrong. Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Crime Unit and Emergency Response Team (ERT) are assisting with the investigation.

In March 15 report, OPP ERT and Saugeen Shores Police officers will be conducting searches in Southampton including backyards and vacant or seasonal property. When the weather is suitable, a search with the OPP helicopter will be conducted along the shoreline.

Police have received information that a person matching the description of “Jim” possibly purchased a CAN-AR bus ticket at Ralph’s Hi-Way Shoppette on Thursday, March 10 around 7:00 a.m. and was let off the bus in Walkerton at 8:10 a.m.

We are trying to confirm this report. There were two other persons on the bus that left Port Elgin that morning. We are trying to identify those persons to see if they have any information that could assist in our search.
