On March 11, 2016 at 2:06 p.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a single vehicle crash along Bruce County Road 3 in Carrick Township. Officers arrived on scene with Bruce Paramedic Services and Mildmay Fire Department to find that a Beige Nissan Sentra was southbound on County Road 3 when it left the roadway and struck a house before coming to rest.
The driver, 68-year-old Raissa Haig of Saugeen Shores, was pronounced dead at the scene. There was no one at the house at the time of the collision.
The OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation unit (TTCI) and the Office of the Coroner are assisting the South Bruce OPP with this incident.
