In addition to events through September and October, Bruce County Public Library have various books by Indigenous authors available to borrow.

Bruce County Public Library (BCPL) is inviting the community to join them in recognizing the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

With programs through September and October, BCPL aims to honour survivors, their families, and communities. Branches will host Truth and Reconciliation Story Time events with books by Indigenous authors as well as film screenings such as Beans, Indian Horse, and Bones of Crows.

A special presentation at the Walkerton branch will see Trish Nadjiwon Meekins walk attendees through the treaties of the Saugeen Ojibway Nation territory. The event will be held on Monday, October 7, 2025 from 7-8pm. BCPL, in cooperation with the Municipality of Brockton, will also be hosting screenings of The Secret Path. Part of their Walk for Wenjack events, screenings will take place at the Wiarton branch on Friday, October 17, 2025 at 3:30pm and at the Walkerton branch on Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at 3pm
