In partnership with the Grey Bruce Health Unit, the Town of Saugeen Shores is hosting a local drive (or walk) through COVID-19 vaccination clinic in Saugeen Shores on Friday, July 16. In a July 13 media release, vaccines will be available from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Nuclear Innovation Institute building in The Plex parking lot, 620 Tomlinson Drive, in Port Elgin.

Mayor Luke Charbonneau said that while a similar clinic held July 9 was a success, "with the Delta variant circulating in our area," the community still has work to do.

"I encourage everyone in the community to come out this Friday and get their first or second dose," said Charbonneau.

No appointment is necessary for the July 16 clinic and vaccines will be available to anyone over 12 years of age looking to receive their first or second dose.
