As of 5:30 pm March 26, a sixth confirmed case of COVID-19 was reported in Grey Bruce, a female in her 60s who travelled out of province. She is said to be self isolating at this time.
In a Situation Report of the six cumulative cases, one has recovered while zero cases are reported in Long-Term Care (LTC) facilities and zero cases are reported among health care providers.
To date 191 negative test results have been issued with an estimated average four to five days for results to be received from the lab.
Grey Bruce Health Unit continues to work closely with LTC and retirement home facilities to ensure updated plans and protocols are in place.
Messaging has occurred to municipalities regarding support and enforcement of self-isolation for international travellers in condominiums and multi-unit dwellings as well as limiting non-essential travel; and direction has been provided to police services regarding enforcement.
