The Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation has partnered with the Power Workers' Union (PWU) to bring you Return to Prom November 9, a gala fundraiser to kick off their annual Light the Way campaign.
“The Light the Way campaign is our biggest annual fundraiser so we thought it would be fun to kick things off this year with a community party. Our goal really is to get people to come out and have a great time while raising money for their local hospital. We are encouraging people to dress up however they like, whether it be old-school, retro from any decade or something more modern. We are really looking forward to seeing a variety of different kinds of outfits that night. We just want everyone to have lots of fun,” said Foundation Executive Director Tracy Murray.
The evening will include music provided by a DJ, dancing, bar service, live photo booth area, a well-stocked bottle draw, door prizes, amazing auction prizes, and a late night buffet of appetizers and finger foods.
Linda Crombeen, PWU Chief Steward Sector 1-6 said the PWU is pleased to be able to provide support to the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation in their continued efforts to support our local hospital. "We value the work that they do to ensure that our members and their families are able to access quality healthcare here in our community."
Bruce Power also provided a donation to support the event. "Health care is one of the most important issues for families in our community and that's why we've allocated such a significant portion of our annual community investment to partner with organizations like the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation to ensure we have the best health care possible," said James Scongack, Bruce Power's Executive Vice President Corporate Affairs and Operational Services.
The fundraising party will be held at the Lakeshore Recreation in Port Elgin on Saturday November 9 from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. Tickets are $50 and are available to purchase at Ralph’s, The Spa Room, Square Deal Neil’s and the Hospital Foundation office. Or purchase by phone at 519-797-3230 extension 3230.
