The Brightshores Health System is hosting their 11th annual Mental Health and Addictions Coffee House on May 26 at the Owen Sound Farmers' Market from 11am to 2pm in support of mental health and addictions awareness.

"The coffee house will feature music, poetry, storytelling and celebrates creativity, connection and lived experiences in mental health," read a recent media release from Brightshores. "Along with art, there will be local vendors and food," the release said.

Director of Mental Health and Addictions Services at Brightshores Naomi Vodden said the event aims to create a space where people are met with compassion, dignity, and a sense of belonging. "It reflects what we know to be essential in mental health care-connection, kindness, and the opportunity for people to show up exactly as they are," Vodden said.

Tuesday, May 26, 2026 from 11am to 2pm, Owen Sound Farmers' Market, 88 8th Street East in Owen Sound.
