BCMCC - Good Eye: Responding to the Landscape

Sun. 30 Jun, 2019 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Sharon Barfoot has enjoyed a long and varied career in the arts that has included costume and jewelry design, teaching, graphics, curating and, most recently, painting full-time. Sharon’s approach to the work in this exhibition is minimalist in which she applies the Buddhist concept of Miksang. Miksang is a Tibetan word meaning ‘good eye’ where it is asked that we view the world in a new way; a way that is always fresh as if seeing it for the first time. Sharon responds to the landscape with a ‘good eye’ and works to bare the bones and remove the details in order to find the essence of place.

Three Guys, one dead Playwright, and 37 plays all in under two hours! In this universally acclaimed theatre experience, three actors manage to compress the complete works of Shakespeare into about an hour and 40 minutes of high-speed-over-the-top hilarity! Knowledge about Shakespeare's works is helpful but not at all necessary. All that is needed is time enough to watch and someone to dial 911 in case you pass out from laughing so much!
