SMHF Needs You

It was a big weekend for Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation's (SMHF) Bring Tom to Town as they announce significant donations in support of the campaign.

All told, SMHF accepted "numerous donations," said a July 4 media release from SMHF, including a $20,000 donation by Duncan and Lesley Hawthorne, a $100,000 donation from an anonymous supporter with ties to the area and a $150,000 donation from FDC Foundation, bringing the overall fundraising total for the $3 million campaign to just under $2.7 million.

"With only $300,000 remaining to reach the $3 million goal the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation wishes to thank every person, business, and service club or organization that has so generously given to support this community project so far," said Executive Director Tracy Murray. "Without the support of the community this essential life saving project would not be possible."

Anyone who wishes to help SMHF to get over the finish line, they can donate, volunteer at a Foundation event or share social media posts and help spread the word.
