The South-Port Optimist Club made one of its final community donations to the Southampton Rotary Club’s Splash Pad project before the members end their service this year.

The $15,000 donation came from Optimist fundraisers including its Bingo Nights.

Optimist Club President Ross Reid said the donation for would fit in well with splash pad at Jubilee Park as the Club has previously given funds to the accessible park.

Official opening ceremonies for the Southampton splash pad are planned for July 28.
