Winterama header 698February 25 marks the 15th annual Rotary Winterama... the annual winter festival that really is “For the Kids!”

Founded in 2002, Rotary Winterama is a collaborative effort between the Rotary Clubs of Hepworth-Shallow Lake, Port Elgin, Southampton and Tara and takes place in the communities of Shallow Lake, Hepworth and Port Elgin.

The annual event raises funds for programs supporting youth in Grey and Bruce counties. All funds are spent locally with 40% of the money raised going to schools and groups who participate in the winter festival; 30% going to breakfast programs at participating schools and the remaining 30% going to local Rotary Club Youth Projects.

In 2016 alone Rotary Winterama raised $23,500 for local youth programs with over $2 million raised over the years!
