Arrests have been made in connection with the vandalism that occurred on the then newly installed Pride crosswalk on Gustavus Street, in front of Saugeen District Senior School in Port Elgin.

The investigation was launched August 29 after the driver of a vehicle made several passes over the newly painted surface, spinning their tires and leaving skid marks.

Two Saugeen Shores men, ages 18 and 19 years, have been charged with Mischief Under $5000. The 19 year old was also charged with stunt driving.

In a September 21 media release, Saugeen Shores Police investigators are investigating additional incidents of mischief pertaining to the Crosswalk.
