southampton craft 2018

The 2018 event, held at the Southampton Coliseum, raised over $12,000 for PRANCE.

The 50th annual Southampton Craft Show is gearing up to showcase over 120 vendors’ homemade crafts on Thursday, July 4 with a venue change for 2019.

Traditionally held at the Southampton Coliseum this year's event will take place at the Plex, 600 Tomlinson Drive in Port Elgin, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

In a Southampton Craft Show media release, the annual event is a major fundraiser for PRANCE, a non profit, community based therapeutic riding program for disabled and challenged riders. Proceeds support the programs PRANCE provides to Saugeen Shores and surrounding communities.

The Show was originally under the dedication and leadership of local women's institutes who eventually passed on the legacy to PRANCE.

The over 120 exhibitors come from all over Ontario and will be showcasing a variety of items including pottery, jewellery, paintings, fine woodworking and toys. There will be a food court and a pie booth with an ATM on site. Admission is $4 and children under 10 are free.
