It was a flash back Friday at École Port Elgin-Saugeen Central School (ÉPESC) April 8, as students and staff dressed for decades of the past for Time Travel Day.

Principal Deborah Rayner said the school tries to do a number of “spirit days” throughout the year, and students and staff come up with the ideas, and Time Travel Day is new.

“We’ve had things like whacky hair day, crazy sock day, so it’s just for fun on a Friday, and this is the only time we’ve ever tried Time Travel,” Rayner said, adding that she's seen a lot of hippies. “Many parents travelled back to the ‘60s for their (children’s) costumes it seems, so it’s fun.”
