winterhawks fullThe Saugeen Shores Winterhawks have put themselves in a position where they could book their trip to the WOAA Sr. "AA" playoffs tonight.

The Winterhawks (9-8-2) are in Shelburne to take on the Muskies (4-13-2) tonight at 8:00 p.m., entering the game in a tie for 3rd place with the Shallow Lake Crushers, who defeated Lucknow last night.

The Ripley Wolves sit one point back of the Winterhawks and Crushers, who occupy the final two playoff spots in the WOAA's North Division heading into action tonight.

While the Winterhawks tangle with the Muskies, the Wolves will be hosting the Crushers in Ripley in a pivotal match up.

If the Winterhawks defeat the Muskies AND Shallow Lake defeats Ripley, then both the Winterhawks and Crushers would clinch playoff spots, relegating Ripley to the Sr. "A" championship side.

If Ripley defeats Shallow Lake, then none of the teams involved would clinch a playoff spot, regardless of the outcome of the Winterhawks game.

Mapleton-Minto and Durham have clinched playoff spots and will have home-ice advantage in the 1st round of the North Division "AA" playoffs.
