water safe fullWater samples taken at Port Elgin Main Beach and Gobles Grove show results within acceptable levels according to Ministry of Health and Long-term Care standards.

The Grey Bruce Health Unit took samples on Thursday, August 13. Based on these results, the beach, which was posted as unsafe on August 12, is now deemed safe for bathing.

Although this latest sample shows acceptable results, the public is reminded that water conditions can change quickly. High winds and heavy rain are likely to have an adverse impact on water quality.
