10 highviewveal 100#10 On November 20 we announced that Highview Food & Drink in Southampton had won the title of Ontario’s Best Veal Sandwich 2016. Noelle Barone’s veal creation was customer nominated as part of a province-wide search and won against hundreds of other sandwiches from across Ontario:

9 RiverRun 100#9 On May 23 we told you about the River Run, where hundreds of “river warriors” in varied and creative vessels took to the river in a long standing Saugeen Shores May 2-4 tradition:

8 Museumstop100#8 On September 8 we brought you the story about what a successful first season it had been for the S.S. Trolley. At a loonie per ride, over 12,000 riders in the first season equalled over $12,000. One of two trolley stories to make The Hub’s Top 10 of 2016:

7 Coulter 100#7 On August 13 we brought you a story about the first-ever Farm to Table event at Coulter Parkette. Brought to you by the Port Elgin BIA, the dinner sourced local food and drink for a truly unique dining experience:

6 Rowlands 100#6 Many of you liked the story announcing that Rowland’s Independent Grocer now had beer and wine on offer. After pulling an all-nighter setting up the store, Rowlands hosted a media tour on their first day for beer and wine sales, October 28:

5 Crowd2015 100#5 On September 11 we brought you a story about new events coming to Saugeen Shores as part of Pumpkinfest weekend. 2016 was the first year Pumpkinfest moved back to its original downtown location:
