In just over a week guests to the Chantry Island Cham-bettes Christmas Home Tour, November 11 and 12 will see what a 25-foot Christmas tree will look like fully decorated. Known as the “Hospital House”, this newly built Chalet style structure is the home of Sally Kidson, Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation Executive Director; her fiancé Bruce Durrer, a pilot for Air Canada and their dog Sambuca.

Donating their time to decorate this Gobles Grove location are interior designer Carla Pavlov of CR Designs, with the help of floral designer Sarah Taylor of Serendipity Florals and Jill Gauthier, owner of Port Elgin Home Hardware and Building Centre. The three will create a Christmas feel and seasonal atmosphere pulled together with silver and white accents.

Pavlov would like to “bring the outdoors in” to the Gobles Grove home, where she will feature custom made lighting, pillows, area rugs and a white fur bedding set.

Jill Gauthier will supply decorations from Port Elgin Home Hardware and Sarah Taylor will provide fresh greenery.

The tour begins Friday evening, November 11 at 6 p.m., runs until 9:30 p.m. and will continue through Saturday, November 12 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at Accents, Ports Emporium and Cathy’s Flowers N’ Treasures in Port Elgin; and Bayberry’s in Soutampton.

Home Tour guests are advised that there will be a special Christmas Tree raffle at the Berry home, where money raised will go towards the Caitlyn Cobean Community Crusaders.
