Another hot day July 5 did not keep crowds away from the 49th annual Southampton Craft Show. Over 140 vendors, each required to sell a minimum of 80 percent hand-made items, packed the Southampton Coliseum, arena and parking lot for another successful fundraiser for PRANCE (Pegasus Riding Association Nurturing Challenged Equestrians).

Final numbers are still being determined but officials said July 10 that the total raised is estimated at $12,000.

“This is our biggest fundraiser that we have for being a non-profit organization,” said Ann Veyvara-Divinski, Operations Manager and Volunteer Coordinator at PRANCE. “We have no way of raising a lot of funds other than doing a big event, this is our big event,” she added.

“The weather, though a little steamy, is really helping those who have wind-chimes and that kind of stuff outside,” Veyvara-Divinski said. “We have a food court inside and we have pie and ice cream; and you know, it’s hot, pie and ice cream goes over really well.”

Candice

Local vendor Candice Carswell, owner of The Darling Deer Co, sold her specialized farmhouse decor, custom creations and diffuser bracelets at the 49th annual Southampton Craft Show July 5.
